Dr. Shawn Bachorick
Dr. Shawn Bachorick was born and raised in southeast Saskatchewan on a farm between Glen Ewen and Carnduff. He attended Carnduff High School and went on to study pre-chiropractic classes at the University of Regina from September 1992 to January 1995. He then attended Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN, from January 1995 to April 1998, graduating with a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. During his time in school, he was a member of the Gonstead technique club and had the privilege of attending many seminars at the Gonstead Clinic in Mt. Horeb, WI.
Dr. Bachorick started practice in Regina in March 2000 in south Regina. He attended the International Chiropractors Association’s Whiplash certification series in 2007. In July 2009, he successfully wrote the American College of Functional Neurology’s board exam for Neurobehavioral Disorders of Childhood in Atlanta, GA, becoming the first Canadian to take and pass the board exam. Dr. Bachorick joined Argyle Natural Health Centre in February 2011 and later that year started the Carrick Institute diplomate program in chiropractic neurology. In summer 2012, he finished his 300th hour in chiropractic neurology, making him board-eligible. He expects to finish the 23-module diplomate series in late 2014 and write the board exam sometime in 2015. After that, he intends to pursue specialty courses in vestibular rehabilitation and neurochemistry.
Currently, Dr. Bachorick enjoys working with patients who have complex and challenging problems like post-concussion syndrome, failed-back-surgery syndrome, whiplash, migraine and other unusual cases. He finds his training in neurology has been an immense help in assisting all of his patients improve their health and level of function.
Dr. Bachorick lives in Regina with his wife Shannon, son Callum, and their dogs Chuck and Poppy.
